Career Step's Corporate Training Division offers you assessment and training solutions designed to prepare your organization for success through October 1, 2015 and beyond.
Partnering with Career Step, an industry leader for online education in ICD-10, will give our customers the additional tools they have been asking for to ensure their teams stay current with the ICD-10 skills.
Career Step's program plan is to begin physician education with general concepts regarding the reasons behind the transition and the structure of ICD-10, without making them coders. The next step is to explain how this transition is going to affect their specific workflow and documentation requirements. I think once physicians have an understanding of that, they're going to be very interested in the transition because it's going to have a tremendous impact on their practice workflow.
Cerner acknowledges that the transition to ICD-10 requires a huge lift of our client's time and resources. We're working with leading ICD-10 education organizations, such as Career Step, to make the training component of ICD-10 as seamless as possible for our client organizations.
Because I was able to trial some of The ICD-10 Solution modules, I can say, first-hand, that the course content is absolutely fantastic! We are so excited about increasing our membership's awareness of these critical courses by adding them to our ICD-10 Readiness Toolkit. With less than 14 months remaining before the mandated deadline, we are well aware of the need for our members to make sure their training is preparing them for accuracy with minimal losses in productivity.
